Hello lovely followers! I thought for round 2 of the salty spill I’d walk you through a typical day at moxie, and last Friday was the perfect example of a busy and fun day at the shop.
First thing after turning the lights on and switching the sign on is ALWAYS iced coffee, even if it’s cold! We keep boxes of Wandering Bear cold brew and we try to have a few different flavors of creamer to start the day. I always try to get insta story content done right off the bat, when my makeup is fresh! We have a full touch up kit in the bathroom, so I usually pop back there and make sure the makeup is on point before I start! Then, I’ll do my outfit of the day video and a couple more showing new stuff, favorite outfits, etc! By that time, Sanda came in and we had to do some website pictures. We try to plan for good-weather days and on Friday, the lighting was perfect! We had lots of new items to do so we cycle through the outfits as quickly as we can, then it’s time for the back-room work. We refreshed the sale rack (yay for clearance markdowns!) and priced/barcoded the new outfits that we’d done pics for. This process takes most of the day so by the time we got done putting out all the new merch, we were ready for a glass of wine! I had chilled some champagne “just in case”, and it was right about closing time! After close, we love to talk about all the new products and try them on again to style them different ways. Our happy hour fashion shows after hours are always a great way to end the day! Emma came down to visit too, and of course we picked some new dresses for her to model too! After that, we spent the evening hanging out, gossiping, and talking about new styles and trends. We love days like this at our favorite little shop, and I thought we’d give you a little “a day in the life” insight!
