Happy August, spill subscribers! Summer is zipping by way too fast, and our lake days left are limited! As a chronic overpacker, I have quite the list of lake necessities so I thought, currently sitting by lake Sutherland on my family vacation, I’d share a few with you. First off: the bag! I’m never caught without my aloha weekender, ESPECIALLY at the lake. It’s splash proof and each individual pocket is waterproof too. We have smaller sizes as well, so I like to bring my crossbody to fit inside the tote! I bring mine to work, the beach, the lake, really anywhere that I need to carry a bunch of stuff. Speaking of Aloha, for those of us that want frosty cold bevvies and to look cute doing it: the aloha coolie!! I prefer the tall can size because I drink mostly white claws. We do have regular can size for you beer and la croix girlies though! I definitely haven’t succeeded in avoiding a sunburn this week, but that’s user error. I haven’t been consistent with sunscreen application, but if I’d been more responsible with my Bask Suncare I’d be less crispy! At least I can use it to make sure I don’t turn more lobster colored. I prefer the clear gel screen on my face and the spray on my body, but we do have a traditional lotion as well. I also wear the gel under my makeup as a primer, which is why it made an appearance in a previous “summer products” spill. I’m not squinting at my keyboard because of my favorite polarized sunnies! (But I may be dripping water on it from my lake-wet hair) Bringing my favorite z supply sunnies down to the dock is a risk, but less so when I use the cute pink case that comes with them! My boyfriend lost his expensive pit vipers in the lake and had to bribe a 12 year old cousin to go diving to get them, so be warned and always bring the case! We have no shortage of summer essentials in store, and we have a few months of good weather left here so stock up! Let us help you fill up your lake bag!!
